Inhaler Collection Scheme

by Becky Parker

Current thoughts – could we extend an Inhaler collection scheme?

More than 50 million inhalers are used each year and many are thrown away will gasses still remaining in them.  A scheme that existed collected old inhalers and just 2 million would save the emissions of almost 10000 cars on the road.

We propose a scheme to collect all old inhalers in school and would like to collaborate with other schools in seeing if this could drastically improve recycling of old inhalers and so make a difference.
