Palm Bay Primary School’s “Eco-List”

by Matt Gore

Palm Bay Primary School’s idea was to create a list of simple weekly challenges that the children could complete and hopefully adopt into their daily routines, to become a habit. An Eco-School, their motto is ‘small changes can make a big difference’ and they think that if everyone makes a small change to their lives that can benefit the environment then all of these added together can have a huge impact.

The KCC hackathon allowed young people to share their ideas and collaborate through activities. They then developed creative solutions to further support and engage young people on the climate crisis and global warming.

The event saw the next generation of scientists and business minds connect the dots between their pilot projects and discuss how they’ve developed their ideas and what they’ve achieved so far.
